This year Ben and I went to see New Years Eve...on New Years Eve. I like to be super corny like that. The movie was so cute, I actually loved it! We hadn't been to a movie together in about a year, so that was nice! LOL Then we went downtown with our friends the Castano's to watch the Austin ball drop on 6th street. I went a couple times before the girls were born and remember it being good times only this time I actually had someone to kiss at midnight! After we went to Trudy's for great food and conversation. So this was the first New Years that we actually got to do some fun activities in a while. Its also the "8th Anniversary" of me reconnecting and hanging out with Jon and Ben to begin with. Having Rosa with me was much better though I must say! LOL The girls watched some fireworks in the beginning of the night, and then hung out with my sister Jennifer.
As far as resolutions go, I have one thing on my list, but one that will be a challenge and holds weight...
To make a difference in someone's life.
Not just making someone smile, or helping an old woman across the street type stuff. I'm talking changing someone's life for the better. I'm so sick of hearing whining year after year from people who want to look better/be thinner/make more money/etc. Those goals are traps, because they're something you'll always be chasing and always need to work for living life doesn't get resolved till death people. I'm guilty of this myself. In high school it was all about loosing weight and making better grades. But looking back I didn't leave any footprints.
So heres to the New Year! And I wish all my readers the best in 2012!
