Around my birthday in July, Michelle started asking many questions about birthdays and got super excited about parties. We actually went online to a party site and she saw the princess stuff and of course wanted it over anything. I decided to go with a totally traditional kids party. Buying the little invites, games, favors, streamers, all of that good stuff.
In my family our birthdays are all in this order - May Ben, June my Dad, July Me, August Sara then a week later Jennifer, September Ben's Mom then my Mom, then Michelle, October the twins, then we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Scarlett's bday, then Christmas. So with this knowledge every time another birthday came she would count down EX: "Today is Titi Sara's birthday, then it will be Jennifer's birthday, then Mimi's birthday, then Mita's birthday then....MICHELLE'S BIRTHDAY!!!" Singing on each birthday was a step closer to her turn, so she would belt it out with gusto!

Ben's mom came into town for Shelly's birthday and it was a great visit. I was worried me being in the planning zone would effect my attitude, but I was actually pretty calm. LOL I made my first doll cake...actually 3. (For 3 years..get it? Yeah) Michelle was super excited! She also wanted a piniata more then anything, I wasn't going to do it, but she came to me one day and said "Mommy? Can we buy one of those HIT CANDYS for my birthday?" I didn't get what she meant, so she acted it out! LOL Then I showed her one online (the one that went with the party stuff she picked) and it being a castle set everything off! I found the perfect dress for her at WalMART! Thats right! $14 bucks, hot pink, and it was a Disney Princess brand! Made for her much? Yeah! She loves it and would want to try on her "party dress" every day before her party!

Many friends came to the party, about 12 little ones and their parents, also many family members, so it was a full house. The look on Michelle's face while seeing everyone was one of true appriciation. I know she felt so loved that day! Right away she started playing with her friends, and loved the piniata! When we sang Happy Birthday, the look on her face was true joy! And blowing out the candles was a year long dream! LOL She got so many awesome presents! She wanted some more "3+" toys. So these will stay in her own room since the toy room is all age safe toys. She feels more grown up with her own stash! LOL

I bought her some Disney Barbie's with clothes, Ben bought her some Sketchers she's been asking for for months now. I thought they were crazy looking, but it was the first item of clothing she really wanted all on her own. I'm not one to sufficate her style! And now that I see them on her and her confidence shoots up, my child self is totally jealous! LOL Its nice to see her getting her own look down! My mom bought her a bike, every time in the store she asks to try bikes. This one was a really good deal...$30 brand new in the box! And I like that its still princess but not pink like everything she has (although it is our fav!) This red and blue looked sooo classy and fun! We ordered a baby doll seat for the back and some other accessories!

That night Ben and I took her to see the live preformance of Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella! We had front row, and she did very well! She was singing along, and when the prince kissed Cinderella at the ball she shouts out "Ohhh! Now they're gonna get married!!" the whole crowd cracked up! It was too cute! During the bow, Cinderella blew her a kiss and she freaked out with happiness. After the show she got to meet her and told her it was her birthday and got a big happy birthday and a hug. She still talks about it! It was a great night.
That was her party!! It was a great time! We love our little princess!!
