We flew out, and the flight there was great! I had spent the summer buying little things to put in some bags for the girls so they had lots of new distractions on the way there! (Life saver! You have no idea!) Plus my parents neighboor came by with some like new Minnie backpacks from their past trip that she gave us. They have a pillow like back which helped because had one layover and half way through the second flight they both fell asleep, so they had a nice place to rest their heads.
We arrived in the afternoon on the Magic Express (Disney airport shuttle). We got to spend the afternoon at the hotel and relax before our first park day. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. We loved it! They had beaches and really fun themed pools! I would definitely recommend staying there! Its not the most fancy hotel they offer, but you're at the parks mostly anyway, so its perfect!
The first park we went to was Magic Kingdom. The girls still hadn't grasped where we were and I wanted that shock factor when they saw that castle. The 2nd they saw it they flipped out! They were cheering and smiling non stop. I started tearing up...goodness! We took some advice and headed to the back of the park through the castle itself. We were first in line for Dumbo and got right on. Scarlett sat with me, Ben with Michelle. Then we got right on the teacups and had the best time there! From that point there was Peter Pans Flight, Its A Small World and The Winnie the Pooh ride. We got to see Philliar Magic which is the first time Scarlett has tried 3D and loved it! Ben says this was one of his favorite things from the park!

After that we had lunch at Tony's which is a model of the restaurant from Lady and the Tramp. Michelle's favorite food is spaghetti with meatballs, so she had been talking about this signature dish for months! It was her idea to reenact the famous scene with Ben. Sooooo cute!We had a table overlooking the parade when it started. So perfect!
Then we hit up The Haunted Mansion (Michelle is now obsessed, its my fav too) Then Pirates of the Caribbean and Aladdin's Magic Carpets. After that we had a chance to ride some over again and then make it to Stitch's Great Escape and Monster's INC laugh floor where my Dad was picked out in the audience and put on the screen dancing! Haha! Last was the carousel.
Characters the girls met, where first Mickey and Minnie...who they were star struck over. Scarlett was completely convinced that these were giant walking characters and her best friends. Michelle was in love with Minnie's outfit and the attention they gave them. Scarlett kept looking back saying "Bye Minnie! I love you!" And Minnie even ran back to her one time and pretended to give her a kiss. I love the ones who take their time with them and really make the kids feel special! They also met Pluto and had the same reaction there, utter joy!

That night Ben and I took the girls back with my Mom who doesn't like roller coasters. So she watched over the girls while they slept and we went back for Magic hours (late hours open to those staying at Disney resorts) So from 9 to Midnight we pretty much had every ride to ourselves! Ahhhh love! I will say the only one I really don't like is Space Mtn. Which happens to be one of Ben's favs. I feel like I'm going to die every time! Ben and I did have a moment of silence for my JLO earring I had lost in that ride when I was 17. I was devastated! LOL Magic Hours really made the trip! Its so cool to ride these popular rides again and again with no lines! The girls had crashed from the moment they got to the hotel and were still out cold when we got back! It was a perfect first day!
Side note - the Dole whip IS the greatest snack at Disney, I'm glad I could verify because the blogs/links/advice I've seen online the past few months all said it was!
