Scarlett's 2nd Birthday!

Scarlett's party theme was the movie Tangled this year. Its been her fav over the past few months. I like to decorate for the party the night before while the girls are in bed. Its so fun to see the reaction when they wake up. Its like giving them their first b-day gift of the day! Scarlett's reaction was so cute, she walks in and gasps! Then she runs over and starts pointing out all the Rapunzels on the table cloth, and all the Pascals. She was going nutz! Then she ran and brought the movie to me. I made another doll cake with a Rapunzel barbie. It turned out ok.

She had a couple friends from church show up and Addison came over, who is 3 years old and Scarlett admires her. She learned to say her name and points her out every where. We provided a cardboard castle for them to color, which connects with the movie and Scarlett's love for coloring. Then we sang Happy Birthday. And I got to tell ya, her face was priceless! She had this huge grin and looked around at everyone singing. I could tell she felt so special that moment. After the song she bent over herself and tried blowing out the candles. She's seen quite a few birthdays this year and caught on!

Presents were next, and first she got upset that I was taking her away from play time for no reason, but when she finally tuned in she started going through her gifts. She got some princess dolls and a book. I could tell she was getting that these things were being given to her vrs. always playing after Michelle's things. Ben and I bought her a Rapunzel baby doll. Number one toy she'll play with is a baby doll, and then her fav movie and things in the stores are Tangled. Not to mention the scene she lights up the most during, is the part when Rapunzel is a laughing happy baby! So this was perfect. It came with a little brush and glowing rattle. Later that night we opened her doll so she could watch the movie while holding her. That was it! That doll hasn't left her side since!

On her real birthday we hung out with my family. She got a couple more gifts, some baby doll gear, and some books. Then we ate Chinese food. The whole weekend you could tell she felt extra special and was all smiles and chit chat!I'm so beyond grateful for Scarlett in my life. She has a fiery personality, she's super cuddly, smart and so gorgeous. I have a sweet bond with her and love to watch her grow!

Happy Birthday my baby!
