Here is the first Michelle update of the year!

Education
I focus on home tudoring in the morning, we'll be starting pre-school in the fall, and I'm making sure she gets a head start. She can write the letters M and C....which now I'm realizing are her initials lol! At 18 mths she learned colors, shapes the alphabet and many animals, so we're just expanding and practicing those. She knows many presidents and landmarks which has given her a passion for travel. Ask her were she would like to go on a plane, it will start a very exciting convo! LOL

Talent
She is doing great in dance class! After a few months she has really caught on to the steps and terms. Once a week she'll give family members, stuffed animals, or even the dogs a dance lesson. It is seriously cute, annnnd now I'm thinking I should def video record that. Her recital is coming up on June 4th, I'll be huge but she and I both are looking forward to costumes, make-up, and a chance to show off whats she's learned. I'm looking forward to having it recorded and giving her tons of flowers and taking her out to eat after, which is what my family would do after my dance shows. The one thing I've noticed, is although she is obsessed with dance, her personality is so outgoing that she struggles she has are...well A.Too loud - shouts with enthusiasm or laughter and talks to the other girls instead of listening at times B. Runs instead of glides if gets too excited and C.Makes her own moves LOL Although these are not bad things and can improve over time, I'm wondering if this is just a peek of her future personality, if so Ben and I were talking about trying cheerleading next year, which might fit her better. We'll see. For now, she loves it so we're doing it!

Church
A really big change was Michelle becoming a Sunbeam. In our church 18 mths - 3 kids go to nursery which is mostly playing with a short segment of music and a lesson. Once the new year begins, if they reached 3 they go into Jr Primary till 7. Then from 7 to 12 they go to Senior Primary. So Michelle has to sit with her class called Sunbeams and they sing, learn, to an activity, and then all the kids separate by class to go to Sunday school. She did amazing her first time! We were worried, since its such a big change, and sometimes kids don't adjust too well at first, which is totally normal. So we were impressed. The teacher said she volunteered to give the prayer in class and was very social and eager to learn. Ahhhh again with the gross proud parent stuff, I'm really bad at that! LOL I'm saving her first picture she colored like I did with her nursery one...tear!!!

I must say this age is probably the most fun! Her imagination, creativity, learning, personality! My goodness, Ben and I learn so much from her perspective alone! This is the age were you can really start remembering things, things that stay with you forever. This is both pressure, and exciting. The holidays were awesome and now she's already talking about Val Day and wanting to plan a party! LOL She's a great helper and amazing big sister. Hard things fall under her testing right and wrong now. She knows things she shouldn't do and now many times chooses those things. Thats the tough part about this age. BUT its part of growing up! So we deal! We love our Shell Bell, our Cubby, our princess!
