I've hit a major plateau in the weight dept. P90X is amazing! But I feel I still have so much to loose, so I'm going to do more cardio and not worry too much about muscle since its so buried. I feel I have to eat so much all the time, its getting expensive! So thats frustrating too! Ben lost so much weight and got pretty toned, but we know we have a couple more rounds till perfection still. I just feel after a month and not seeing those numbers throws me off, I know it isn't something I should freak out about since it might be muscle, but the areas I'm toning don't even show, so with clothes on I feel the same.
I read this online and it pretty much sums up whats goin on
Some common reasons for plateaus include:
* Doing the same workouts over and over. Your body needs to be challenged to progress, so make sure you're changing some part of your program every 4-6 weeks. (P90X elimnates that so...no issue there)
* Not eating enough calories. If your body doesn't have enough fuel to sustain your level of activity, you can actually stop losing weight. (Check)
* Overtraining. If you exercise too much, the body sometimes responds by decreasing the amount of calories you burn during the rest of your day. (AND check)
But...whatever! I'm gonna keep going! So far this year marks the most active I've been in years, and I'm really proud that I started the moment the Dr told me I could, because I'm the type that puts it off months after!
Anyhoo- just a mini vent
