Boleyn turns 1!

Our sweet baby turned 1 on March 29th! We celebrated with a combined birthday party with her baby friend Bennet.

Boleyn has been such a blessing to our family. She has been such a calm and happy baby! Since there has been such a gap since the last time we had a baby in the house, I have enjoyed experiencing it all over again!

Being a preemie didn't give her too many problems or set backs. She caught up in weight around 6 months! Her moter skills where behind and she didn't tolerate solids for many months, but now she's on track. She has trouble breathing if she gets even the slightest cold, so she does need a mask with a special baby solution to help with that. Its been several times a year that she's had chest congestion. So that has been new for us.

Boleyn loves her family. She beams at the sight of a loved one entering the room and sometimes even get so excited, she hurts herself! She also loves her space. She sleeps best in her own room with her paci a sound machine and a soft blanket. Bo likes to get out of the house after being cooped up for a day. I noticed if she gets cranky and there are no other signs of discomfort, a good day out running erronds is the cure (sounds like me!).

She has given me a renound sense of purpose again. I've felt more positive and driven then I had in a long time. Same for her sisters and Dad. The girls loved having a baby around the house. They were so helpful and had questions each day reguarding her growing and learning! They are egger to see what she will be like as a toddler! Seeing their relationship has been the most entertainting and rewarding experience for me!

Now that Boleyn has hit a year, we are starting to see more of her personality. She is a sensitive one! The smallest raise in our voices or look of distrense on our face can send her into sobs. And I'm talking the super sad kind that have a slight wimper behind it! It makes us melt instantly which makes her very happy! She doesn't like pain one bit. If she falls just a tad, she is not happy! She is also a big time cuddler. She lvoes to climb on us, look into our eyes for a moment, then colappses on top of us! The girls love it when she does it to them! They feel so loved! This girl also likes to sing! For a few months now, starting just around Christmas, she will project her voice (Sounds more like AHHHHHHH!!!) whenever she hears a song. Her favorite is "Let it Go" from Frozen. Honestly it was inevitable since you can't escape hearing it in every store, media device, and oh! her sisters! So when she hears that song she suddenly looks up and then starts belting out! Its one of our favorite things to watch!

So far Bo has said "Da-de" a couple times in relation to Ben. "Ma ma" once or twice to me. And "Mita" clear as day when crawling to my Mom a couple weeks ago. She will look at my parents, her parents and the correct sibling when someone says each name. So she is sticking the sound with a face. No interest in walking yet. Her legs get very stiff when we hold her up and try to move her. She does pull up on the couch and crib and other stable objects so it shouldn't be long now!

I am so so grateful for Boleyn in our lives. My heart just bursts at the very thought of her! Her smile and laughter is like a jolt to my heart! I thank God daily in my prayers for letting our family raise such a sweet spirit. We love our Boleyn Kate!
