Easter Fun!

We hit up our usual community events this year! It was lots of fun!

Visiting the Easter Bunny

There was no line upon our visit which is always nice! The girls loved chatting to him and Michelle gave him a picture she drew (She's in a major "Let me give you a picture!" phase, come by and she'll give you one no fail! Lol) EB held the photo tight and gave it a hug which made Shell feel special! They took some amazing pictures this year! They're at a great age! After Scarlett yells "By Easter Bunny! I love you!" It was too cute!

Cat Hollow Egg Hunt

This one was close by, but very very cold this year and very crowded! The baskets where pretty empty, but the girls found strength to bounce a little! Not a total waste! And we ran into our friends the Warrens there, so thats always a plus!

Pflugerville Spring Pfling

This was the best event I'd say. There are lots of booths, inflatables and eggs to find! Everything was free, balloon animals, petting zoo, pony rides. I can't stand events with tickets you have to buy for things, so this Mama was as happy as her chicks! We spent time with the Easter Bunny, and the girls played lots of games! Nice! A highlight was Scarlett going up an inflatable to slide down the other end. I was on the slide end waiting to get a pic and I saw the Click fi la cow come over and poked his head under waiting. When Scarlett reached the top and started going down I hear "Huh? A Cow!!??" And I got a pic of her coming down with the biggest grin looking up at him! She was so happy! Im thinking at least shes not afraid like some kids or this could've ended badly! Lol

Hutto Egg Hunt

This event is great with candy! In fact they invest on tons of it and tons of eggs, which is probably why they don't have anything like inflatables, or petting zoos. But I love it because the girls each have full baskets by the end of the hunt! We did greet another Easter Bunny and Hutto's mascot, the Hippo! Scarlett is so obsessed with Hippos at the moment, so she went nutz! This event happened to be swarming with parents who didn't know the meaning of "let your kids go alone rule" so that got dramatic. And even in the young group where parents where aloud there were some snatchers. A young Mom with a baby came over and got between Scarlett and I to swipe all the stuff Scarlett was slowly picking up. Scarletts face dropped, and I looked and noticed the girls baby's bucket was overflowing! I said "Wow, thanks, enjoy!" Egh! But Scarlett got over it in two seconds, so that was good! The girls were very happy with their loot! It was worth it!

Painting Eggs

Michelle is old enough to be aware of these traditions, so I was being asked daily. We got eggs done a week early this year, so I could avoid the begging! Lol. Michelle wanted Neon colors, which is her current obsession! It was lots of fun this year, again because of their ages.

School Egg Hunt

Michelle's preschool had a big egg hunt and party! Shelly came home with lots of goodies! Her school always has the best holiday parties! I love it!

Bunny Cake

The night before Easter, the girls and I made a bunny cake! I always wanted to make it a tradition, and this was the first year we were able to make it happen! The girls helped with every step! It was both cute and delicious! I love baking with my girls!
