We've already done a lot of fun Christmas activities thus far!
We decorated -
Michelle didn't want to waste an ounce of time to start decorating! The girls pretty much did every bit of it too! I love how excited they get! It really gets us in the holiday spirit!
We made a Hello Kitty theme Gingerbread house -
This was the first year that Scarlett helped with the decorating of the GBH this year! She was really into it! Michelle hadn't been feeling well that night, but pulled through to help with some. The finishing touches where the Christmas tree that Michelle stuck on, and Hello Kitty herself that Scarlett stuck on! This one was actually not so bad! It did get a crack when I moved it, but its stayed firm since, so yay!
We visited Santa -
This is another concept that Scarlett really got this year! There was no line, and the girls both got a good long convo in with Santa! Michelle asked for a Bitty Baby and Scarlett asked for a baby and stroller. The pic this year was by far the best! In fact it was very hard to choose one! But after making a choice, the girl working printed out an extra set for us of another pose we loved for no extra charge! When does that happen? Uh...NEVER! We were beyond grateful because even though we do this twice a year (first being with the Easter Bunny) its no secret how much of a rip off the prices are! So very very happy! This is also the first look of the girls Christmas dresses every year - this year we went with Winter White!
We got our Christmas tree -
We went to a little place at the end of Main Street Round Rock. It was ok. The girls had fun running around, but I wasn't impressed with the prices. Lesson learned. But oh well! Tree is up!
We went to the Chuy's Children giving to Children parade downtown -
We love this event! The girls each picked a game to donate, which gives them a great lesson of the season from the start. I hate to be a snob, but I do wish they had more floats! LOL They are soooo fun! The crowd had zero Christmas spirit, so we got really obnoxious with the cheering and singing! LOL After we stopped in the Driskell because Michelle was hypnotized by it (We were on the corner of Congress and 6th) She is now obsessed and thats the main thing she draws now! So my daughter!
We went to Family Fun Night on Main Street Round Rock -
The mayor hosts and the lights are turned on! Round Rock's tower is one of my fav things in our community during the holidays, you can see it from every angle! So nice! Santa arrived in a horse drawn sleigh, which was epic. Then we hit up all these tiny houses along the street with goodies and activites! We ran into a few friends which is always nice! It was a fun night!
We did some holiday baking -
Michelle had been begging to get some baking done for about a week until we found the time! Ben promised to make cookies with her and I handled the fudge (made chocolate AND peppermint flavors) Scarlett enjoyed the shopping half, but crashed during all the baking. But she woke up to freshly baked cookies! Thats always a good thing right? LOL
We went to the Rockin Lights display and carnival -
Our community has a new tradition! This year we have our own christmas light display! You drive through it which is nice! The girls loved it! We sang Christmas songs the whole way! At the end there is a carnival were kids get a free ride. Michelle got a bonus since she really wanted to try this huge slide they had. Then the girls went on a small Farris wheel together. Since it wasn't very crowded they got a super long ride and had the best time. They were chatting away and feeling so grown up! LOL It was definitely worth it! After we got dinner at the Round Rock's food trailer park and had some amazing food! Delish! It was a good night!
