Michelle's 5th Birthday!

Miss me? Thought so. Michelle's 5th birthday was the 25th of September.

When she grows up she wants to be - It goes back and forth between Dr and Vet! 

Hobbies - Michelle started competitive cheerleading this year. Its a lot of fun but tons of hard work. She has her first competition this Saturday. It will be fun to see all the practicing pay off. She loves cheer and seems pretty content with it. I'm really concentrating on keeping it fun for her without pressure like some parents we've seen. She get nervous at times saying she hopes she can help the team win. But I tell her to just have fun. At five I want her to try her best but bottom line to just enjoy what she's doing and know it's important to stay active. Shell also enjoys cooking still! She is very hands on in the kitchen! She goes to the cookbook section in the book stores and is already talking about wanting to learn to make an entire Thanksgiving dinner! LOL She wanted to spare carving her pumpkin so we could save it and use it for pie! I love it! She's also into sketching designs for clothing and picking out fabrics for the outfits I've made her. I've thought of buying her a little sewing machine for Christmas this year. 

School - This year Michelle is attending St.Philip's Preschool. I really like the classroom setting and the staff! She is eager to go and would want to go daily if she could! Right now we're doing two days a week. The school has lots of fun events that have been so much fun! I'm so grateful she is able to go! (Justin Bieber backpack and all!) LOL 

Church - We're closing in on another year! Michelle is a CTR 4 this year and really enjoys music time and Sunday school class. I pass her classroom every week and when I see her she's always listening intently to the lesson. Ok or giggling with a girl friend! LOL Once I was walking past her in the hall and she didn't even notice me! Its obvious how much she misses us while being part of such a great primary! Ha!

On her actual birthday she had school and got spoiled there. While she was there I decorated my parent's place with some decorations I had in a closet from a couple years ago. She said she always wanted a surprise party so I had everyone hide while I went to get her. I told her everyone had plans but would see her soon. She said that was fine and we walked in. When we got up to the living room I said the key word and everyone jumped out saying surprise! Michelle was in shock for a moment and was beyond happy! Gifts from the fam included Barbie board games, cinderella playdoe, Justin Bieber doll, movies! She ask my Mom for a "Hot pink party dress AND hot pink party shoes!" We went around forever trying to make this dream a reality and finally found the perfect two! She was so taken back that we found exactly what she described! LOL We all went to her fav place Reales for dinner and came home for some chocolate cake with a pink sparkly 5 candle. (Also something she dreamed up! Challenging and specific this year!) It was a great day for her! 

5 has been such a new chapter! For both her and I. Its a time when the waters are tested, all these kids in school/church etc are no longer babies in their homes and they go out with what you have taught them so far. I have been so blessed with Michelle. She teaches me what is truly important, she pushes me to be better. I'm learning to really take in every moment on days I'm home with the girls. Because it won't be long until their days are filled with school and everything else!
