Scarlett aka Biscuit

Scarlett has been developing this super fun personality! I'm having a blast! She hit 21 mths a few days ago, and I gotta tell ya, she is learning something new every day! I wanted to write down some little traits before I'd forget!

Like all kids at this age, she copies everything the Mama does. So she carries a purse around like me, she'll grab keys and a phone and walk to the door. I remember Michelle doing the same thing. This is one of my favorite things kids do! When they naturally, on their own imitate your actions. She also brushes her teeth now, twice a day along with Michelle. Of course there is a flip side, like her attitude. Since she has an older sib, she picks up on her fits and will duplicate them. She'll say "Noooo!" with her little nose in the air, or she'll toss something to the floor like Shell sometimes does when throwing a fit. So that has been different this time around! LOL

She is trying to say new sentences, but mostly it comes out one loooong hyper blabble session! LOL But she can say many phrases. The newest being "Leeeets GOOOO!" a couple days ago. When Michelle heard her say that for the first time she freaked! She is so excited that Scarlett is becoming more and more a reliable playmate. She understands many things now, like "Put it back" "Give me the phone?" "Nap?" "Snack?" etc. She can also recognize when we are in the area of her Dad's work and she'll yell out about a block away, "DA????"

She still loves food! Her favorite breakfast is now oatmeal, I first gave her a Kashi brand which I thought there is no way she will like this stuff, but she got addicted. Now I make her a homeade oatmeal that my Great Abuala would make. Her favorite snack is Quaker rice cakes, something else that I thought both the girls would hate, but they are addicted. They love the apple cinnimon. As far as lunch/dinner goes. Usually grilled cheese, or wheat pasta with lots of veggies/fruit. Desert - well...oatmeal cookies! LOL we made a batch and they seriously where the best I ever had! So the girls loved them! Her love for food gave her the street name "Biscuit" LOL! Michelle is "Jelly"

Scarlett is a huge music fan! She has learned "wheels on the bus!" Nursery sings it every week, but she never sang along. To calm her down a few days ago I started singing it and suddenly she skips a head and starts going "Sh Sh Sh" with her finger to her lips, which is the mommys on the bus part. Kids really soak everything in, it still amazes me. Now she has learned to say and do the motions to round and round, beep beep, and wha wha. Its so funny to watch I hope I get it on video so I can post it!
