The book Olivia is one of Michelle and Scarlett's favs! I think any parent can see there kids in various parts. For Michelle she relates to the sassy pigs love of ballet, make believe, her spaghetti and meatball dinner and bargaining with me each night for how many stories to read. Really the whole book could be her.
With Scarlett we relate to Olivia's ways of getting into trouble quietly and her attitude! Yesterday while Michelle was napping Scarlett was playing quietly in the toy room. I decided to take the time to do a load of laundry. When I got done gathering clothes taking them to the other end of the apartment (about 2 trips) then starting it. I noticed, hmmmm she's being TOO quiet (Moms you know the curious quiet I'm talking about.) At first I saw she was reading...how cute! But when she saw me she raised her hand proudly and I see a purple marker! I freaked out and went to check the room. Luckily...and I mean LUCKILY she got it just on herself and the cover of a board book she was reading that wiped right off. But if I took too more seconds even, to do anything else...this house would be purple!! When Michelle woke up she actually got excited and said "Just like Olivia!" Scarlett was even wearing red and white, Olivia's fav colors. So naturally we had to recreate the scene! LOL
I love books that we see our kids in!
