Keep on Dancin Till the World Ends

Let me take you back to 1999 - you'll see a 13 year old Rachel with some girl friends (and a parent) at a Britney Spears concert during her first tour. It was a time where I was just figuring out how to style my hair (I thought straight was best so would spend hours trying to figure out how to flatten my hair WITHOUT a flat iron or products...yeeeeeah) I was only aloud to wear lip gloss, powder and a touch of eye shadow. That was the first night my friends and I noticed boys checking us out, what a rush! LOL The stage was very plain, Tommy Hilfiger was the bomb and shiny leather was the main attire for 18 yr old Brit along with that school girl outfit and pony tails. The biggest song of the moment was Baby one more time.



Flash forward to 2011 - you'll see a 25 year old Rachel (well in two days) with her husband (and WE are parents) at a Britney Spears concert during her 6th tour. I'm realizing that my curly hair actually looks pretty freaking amazing, and I have figured out to do pretty much any style I want. I love wearing dramatic make up (liquid liner is a must have). This was one of the many nights I've taken notice that some boys like to dress up like girls, and some would check my husband out. LOL The stage was huge with tvs, fireworks, lazors, props and the costumes were well....sparkly bras that would light up and hair extensions were very present for a 30 yr old Brit. At this show there were so many hits and new songs I lost count.




Sometimes its good to get in touch with what used to excite you, the world changes but some things can still make you get up and sing and dance like no ones watching. Ben says he would look over and grin seeing me just having a blast and being so care free. Cause you know what? I'm young dang it! But I'm also at an age where I'm more confident then ever and carry many life lessons under my belt.

From that first tour to this new tour Britney and I have gone through many of the same things. A couple c-sections, a couple kids, a few break downs, been the subject of much gossip, gone through a few make overs, and many mistakes, following a major comeback!
