A Son

Ben and I had our ultrasound at the beginning of this month. It was interesting because it was through the company he works for. However the experience was lame. I wasn't able to watch the monater, and she wasn't alowed to tell us anything about what she was looking at until the end. Where she said "everything looks good! Your doctor will get the report with details!" BUT we did find out the sex. A BOY!

Ben couldn't see much where he was sitting either...but I did see his eyes get really big. When the tech confirmed we were filled with such joy and when she left Ben spun in circles around the room! LOL

We had been reading through the entire boy section of the baby name book, I hadnt even thought of girl names. For some reason I just...I guess "knew" again. These last two I didnt really WANT a boy over a girl, vise versa, but I was in tune to what fit in our life at that time. So if it turned out differently I would've been fine, but this feels...right!

So we would put a dot by names we both liked and would actually use. After reading them alllll, I made a list, from that list of about 30 we brought it down to about half, then another half. Our top list ended up being Adian, Benson, Christian, Damion, Logan, and Gavin. I didnt realize until then we had all names that ended with N so I knew we were being lead to his name. This wasn't something we looked for, it just happend. I had already picked out Parker for the middle name, we both loved it, so we wrote out each name with the middle and last name and read them all out loud and did a test were we "yelled out" the name in both a disapline way and excitment way! LOL It was so funny! In the end we both LOVED the name Logan, we felt super fuzzy like we had with the last two.

Its intersting because during the whole "what baby girl/boy names do you like?" chat at the beginning of marriage, Ben had brought Logan up and as a kid he had liked the name. And through the years I remember it coming up and we'd say "That would be a good name for a boy..oooo I like it!" But interestingly enough, it didn't make past lists, I guess it was meant to be. And I dont like holding on to lists, I like for us to pick out names during the pregnancy, just adds to the excitment I guess.

And whats funny, I didnt see the comic reference until a couple days later, and I asked Ben about it and he said he knew but it was just funny that we had picked those names together, but we dont care LOL it is very very Ben style! LOL So it will be a little cute thing for him.
