A Steal! Hello!!

I have to brag about my amazing shopping skills! I'm going to my uncle's wedding in a week, so about a month ago I started getting a look in my head that I wanted to hunt for.

The look was Lea Michele at the Emmy's. This look got rave reviews, she's wearing Oscar de la Renta. She's about my age, I already have the hair cut (bangs), and I've never done navy before. The goal was to get a dress with these three things 1.Navy 2.Short length (more appropriate for the event) 3. Needs a ruffle detail

I did some looking and went to Nemian Marcous last call. Boom found this dress. It was everything I wanted plus it came with sleeves! AND my size! What is this? Awesome. Problem is...the price. Now the original price was $270 and the sale price was down to $150. Here's the thing, I don't care how much off something is, because if I saw a dress that was 150 regular price I still wouldn't get it. I was so heart broken, I thought about the dress for a couple weeks, it haunted my sleep! But there is no way I could pay that much.

Luckily I did find another dress there I liked, it had sleeves too. I thought, well maybe I'll have to go back and get that one. However it still cost $70, which ok not too bad, but it to me just seemed like a regular price for a dress...and I had been to all the discount stores and department stores, and even if I found a cheaper dress, I'd still need to find something to wear over it.

So I go back to find the other dress, but couldn't find it anywhere! I was so depressed. I saw the navy dress again and looked at it for a 2nd, it was a smaller size so I was putting it back when I noticed the tag had a huge red sticker on it that read 75% off the lowest sticker price.

At that moment I freaked and tried to find the one in my size.......found it, but it didn't have a sticker. I thought maybe the other one had it because of a problem, like zipper small tear, etc. But I brought both to the check out and asked if they would honor the sticker for the other dress. They did!!!

$35 for that dress...yeah I know. This is why I'm not an impulse buyer, sure I may miss out on some things, but I usually come out with so much more. I was able to buy some killer Steve Madden sparkly high shoes (at Ross! Yeah!) And I also when back to Ross to find some boots I regretted not buying for just $25 and found them also marked down again for $15.

If you ever need a shopping partner HOLLA!!! I feel like I need to be the Discounted version of Rachel Zoe.
