Michelle Update

So this week is full of milestones so each day I'll focus on one family member.

Michelle is hitting 2 1/2 this month! Ok seriously if you think the first couple years go by fast, you have no idea! Going from 2 to 3 has been crazy! At her 2nd birthday party I had to watch her a lot, make sure she wouldn't climb up her play house latter alone, cut up her food very small still, she spoke tons of "words" but not many complete sentences. Now all of that has changed and more! I really don't have to worry about her safety because she's moving like a kid now instead of a toddler, she eats her meals with a fork or spoon and hardly ever makes a mess, and her speech? That's probably the thing we're most in awe with!
She went from yelping words and using expressions to tell us things to now being able to EXPLAIN how she feels in complete sentences. Its the funniest thing sometimes the stuff she comes up with! Now we have an inside look on her imagination, her fears, her goals, and her rebel side!

She tells us fantasies of her dream wedding, and that she wants to go to "pink work" every day...its something to do with clothes and make-up. Aliens sometimes attack the apartment, so we watch out for that.
She would wake up some mornings explaining her concern after the accident
She asks us to teach her new things...she wanted to know what the American flag was and now asks to learn more flags. And she's asked us to teach her to ride a bike...we didn't even know she knew what that was yet. She loves playing doctor.
She'll tell little white lies now which is interesting - We're running to HEB when she wants to go to the mall and she'll say "No! We can't go to HEB!" When we ask why she says "Um...its too dangerous! Yes very dangerous!"

Her bond with Scarlett grows each day, the more this baby learns and grows the more Michelle relates to her...by the end of the year I know there will be such great times!

We use time-outs for discipline, it works the best for us. She knows to never talk back, scream in a store, or boss us around. All in all she's great with other kids, shares pretty good, isn't the kid that hits or bites so that's great. And goes to bed without a fight still.

Favorite things
Still anything Disney or Barbie, but instead of having a fav movie of the week, she now changes it up every day which is much better for me.
Learning - she knows many of the presidents, her last name, what her name looks like when written, and potty training.
Loves shopping like nothing else! Truly my daughter
Fav restaurant is Panera Bread that she calls palace food for some reason (I think it as to do with starting with a huge P)She gets mac and cheese and yogurt
She loves make-up and if ever gets into mine, she actually applies it very well! LOL But every day to get ready she insists on doing her make-up at her vanity! She'll do each step and acts like its a must before we go anywhere AND she knows how to match and put outfits together!
Dolls of course, and dress up and dancing...she wants to go back to dance class, but we're gonna wait until she's 100% on taking directions.
She swims very well! And loves the pool and the outdoors.

So its been amazing! She's truly a little girl now! I can't wait to see what she'll become! Actually...I CAN! I can! Don't grow anymore! LOL
