Scarlett went through a burst of milestones over the past few weeks! After some coaching with her coaches (and us) she is finally using her hands instead of keeping them in tight fists all the time! She grabs toys now, which Shell loves cause its a step closer to them playing more together. We keep seeing her grab at her bottle but hasn't been able to hold it up all the way yet, but she can push her paci back in!She enjoys sitting up while she's awake and holds her head up perfect! I found her lifting up about a week ago, so now tummy time is a great time since she lifts up and looks around, her heals cross so Shell calls her a mermaid! LOL We're getting close to hearing a word! I say "Mama" to her a billion times a day which makes her both crack up and she tries to repeat, but no real "words" yet just an attempt to make our sounds. She is currently still wearing 0-3 mth clothes but a few of her 3-6 mth outfits are starting to fit enough to not look crazy. Teething has started, but we've only had a couple bad nights, nothing too bad. But its different since Shell never fussed while teething, she just got depressed and mellow! LOL
Scarlett is incredibly social just like her sister was/is. I was worried cause she didn't get out as much as Shelly, but she gets passed around a lot when we do so I guess thats what does it. Whenever someone new holds her she usually greats them with a huge smile and a big giggle to go along with it, she loves everyone!
I'm loving watching her grow, thing is this IS going by fast...really really fast. With Michelle I felt (well besides the fact she was a couple mths early) that it was a very slow first year, she felt like a baby for a super long time, it wasn't until she was 18 mths that she started looking her age. Now I'm watching her grow still and Scarlett at the same time. Its sweet, demanding, exciting, sad, all those things. Almost half the year has gone by with Scarlett Grace, I'm just trying to take it all in and look forward to seeing her be even more of a great little companion for Shell!
