The Powers Recieved through motherhood!

I have to tell this story! It is this amazing truth that after becoming a mom you recieve crazy abillites that result in events you never thought possible!

Last weekend Ben and I came home rather late since we had been working in my parents lawn and getting the playground up. It was a couple minutes till nine, Shelly Bean's bed time. We looked around and realized the apartment was getting pretty messy, which I hate! Ben told me to just relax and that we could work on the apartment together the following day since I was wipped out! Our plan was for me to put Michelle to bed while Ben shaved and jumped into the shower, then I would get my shower in while he ordered dinner. **1 2 3 Break!!*

I was about to just change Michelle in her pjs, when I noticed it had been over a day since her last bath, and she had spent an evening in sand and a whole day playing outside! There was no way I could put her to bed like that! So I started her bath, got everything laid out for her bedtime, stripped her down and in the tub she went. I gave her a good strong scrub, and shampoo'd her hair all while she was just singing her lungs out and playing with her mermaid toys. After a good rinse, I pulled the drain and got her out.

In her room I put on a fresh diaper, some nightime soothing loction, her princess pjs, combed her hair and even read her a bedtime story! She went down without a fuss and I headed to the bedroom.

There I found Ben still shaving....soooo ok I guess I'll take MY shower.

I wash my face, my hair, you know a good to the point shower. Got out, put on my pjs and noticed that the towel I used was the only clean towel left! So I gathered all the towels and put them in the wash.

Back in the room Ben is just finishing shaving and looking at me with the biggest open eyes ever, and asked "What the heck was that?" Then we both started cracking up!

It just comes to show that when keeping up with a family, a household you can never have a night off! But if you're willing and positive about the job, you'll accomplish things you may have felt where beyond your paticence level, or phyisical strength!

In the end just tackling things one at a time, makes moments like plopping on the couch with a slice of pizza and the man I love makes it all so worth it!

I love my job!
